Definitions
- RPO: maximum acceptable data point to be recovered (window before disaster).
- RTO: maximum time needed for data recovery (disaster → recovery starts).
- WRT: maximum time to verify data integrity & resume operations (recovery start → normal operations resumes).
- MTD: Maximum Tolerable Downtime = RTO + WRT.
Example: 03:00 → 06:00 → 08:00 ⇒ RTO = 3h, WRT = 2h, MTD = 5h.
